I know a teacher whose son is under 40, and she was required to be out of the classroom before she started to show. There's an undercurrent in the anti-gay and anti-woman (along with several others) movements that can be boiled down to a desire to return to the fictional "good old days" of the 1950s. I can think of at least five reasons that would be a horrible thing. We laugh, but it’s not too long ago that that was the expectation for pregnant women.
