Veterans Day: Thank You Lt. Col. Victor Fehrenbach

November 11, 2009

Air Force Lt. Col. Victor Fehrenbach, an F-16 fighter pilot and 18-year veteran with nine commendations for 88 missions, including major missions in the immediate wake of 9/11 and in Iraq, has served since 1991. Just two years shy of retirement and two weeks before he was scheduled to re-deploy, the Air Force served Lt. Col. Fehrenbach notice in May 2009 that they intended to fire him for being gay. He was “found out” after successfully defending himself to local police when he was falsely accused of sexual battery.

Lt. Col. Fehrenbach’s case is still pending.
